How far in advance of a sporting event does Arb Hunters find its arbitrage opportunities?
Many arbs will be for events that are 24-48 hours in the future.
However we also find a number of longer-term arbs for events that are days or even weeks or more in the future (such as football World Cup events etc...).
Some people feel that these are not worth tying your money into because it could be put to better use in a number of arbs occurring sooner. This is true to some extent. However putting your money into a long-term arb will generate more profit than any savings account would do. Also, if your bankroll is sufficiently large enough to allow the funds to be tied up for longer periods the profitability of longer-term arbs is generally much higher than shorter-term opportunities.
